Meet the Chef

My love for good healthy food started in 1999. I was in college and wasn’t living a very healthy lifestyle. I wanted to change so I started learning about vegetarianism. It became a new love very fast. As the years went on, I continued to create new meals and understood even more about food. After I got married and had my first daughter, I was brought to the idea of being Vegan. I eliminated the rest of the animal products (cheese, yogurt, eggs, and butter) from my diet. I felt so much better, I didn’t get sick as often, and I lost some weight. Then I was introduced to a Raw/Vegan living food diet. There are many different great ideas on living a raw food diet, but the one I took hold of was the Hallelujah Acres Diet (www.hacres.com). This consists of 85% Raw/Uncooked food and 15% lightly cooked food. This is where I am now. I have been preparing Vegan meals for my family as well as extended family and friends for the past 4 years. I’ve always wanted to start a business like this and so last year I gave it a try. I prepared and delivered Raw/Vegan meals for a family four nights a week. They loved it and so did I. They were used to eating out and were ready from something different. They were also suffering from health problems and new that the food they were eating was not helping.

I feel excited to be able to share the love of good healthy food with others, so they can receive the same benefits my family and I have seen. All of the meals I will be sharing with you have been tested and approved by a picky husband and small children. My sister-in-law (who is 12) loves the meals too.

My Mission

One of my missions and purposes is preventative health. I feel that one of the best ways to achieve the health we desire is by the food we eat. People all around me are sick with some sort of dis-ease (i.e. diabetes, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, obesity, etc.). I have learned so much in the past years that I feel compelled to share what I know. This is just one way I know I can help. The right kind of food can heal and even reverse some of the ailments we face today. I am learning daily with my own family on what food combinations are good and bad. My goal is to become an expert in foods that heal.
